Real Madrid Legend and Al Nassr striker, Cristiano Ronaldo reveals he might not have enough time to achieve his dream of reaching 1,000 career goals.

The 39 year-old is already the top scorer in international football with 908 goals and was recently honored with the Quinas de Platina trophy, the highest accolade from Portugal’s Football Federation (FPF) for players.

“I now face my life living in the moment. I can’t think long term anymore,” Cristiano Ronaldo said.

“I can no longer think about what I said publicly that I wanted to reach 1,000 goals. But it seems that everything is easy now, just last month I reached 900.”

“It’s about living in the moment, enjoying the moment, seeing the response that my legs will give me in the next few years.”

“One thousand goals is great, but if it doesn’t come, I’m already the player in history with the most goals.”

Ronaldo’s contract with Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr runs until June 2025, but he has not yet indicated whether he intends to continue playing through the 2026 World Cup.

On international duty with Portugal, Ronaldo continues to add to his legacy as the country’s all-time top goal scorer, with 133 goals in 216 appearances since his debut in 2003.
