Enyimba climbed to fourth position on the Nigeria professional football league table, thanks to 1-0 victory over Kwara United on Wednesday.
The Aba Elephants also ended poor run three consecutive game at home without a victory.
Fit again striker, Ruben Bala scored the decisive goal in the a minute after half hour mark. The striker ruffled in free kick which goes through the legs of Kwara United’s goalkeeper Ishola Abdullateef.
The People’s Elephants almost doubled their lead eight minutes later, Reuben Bala got on the end of Philip Ozor’s cross and his effort crashes against the post.
Meanwhile, Kwara United almost leveled the with two minutes left to play in the first half, but Danbani missed a glorious opportunity from close range.
The second half was more of cagey affair, but Enyimba managed to create late opportunity kill off the game, but Victor Mbaoma fails to turn in Bilal’s weighted free kick.
Enyimba held on their slim advantage to see off the Harmony Boys.
The three points move them to fourth on the table with 54 points, while Kwara United slope down to fifth with 52 points.
