Chairman CEO Brila media Dr. Larry Izamoje has stated that Mohamed Salah is up in the mix for the Ballon d’Or after the Egyptian put in another impressive display last night in the UEFA Champions League first-leg semi-final match against AS Roma.

Salah scored a brace and provided a double assist in Liverpool’s 5-2 win over the Italian side, a performance Dr. Izamoje said has lifted the player and shot Africa back on the map for football scouts.

‘Football generally won last night. You can liken it to what has happened in Boxing. Boxing has become attractive and interesting because for many years; over a decade, it was all about the Klitschko brothers until AJ came out and flushed out the last of the Klitschko brothers.

‘That is what the world is beginning to see now, because for many years its been Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar was put in the mix; Iniesta, they all tried but they never got to that high height.

‘But what are we seeing now? Everyone is putting him in the mix in that bracket of Messi and Ronaldo, many are saying he should be the man for the Ballon d’Or next year if he continues like this.

‘It gives this continent a good case particularly when it comes to scouting, because now more people will say if Mo Salah is from Africa there must be good legs in Africa.

‘This should be a platform for players in Africa to continue to do well so that somewhere will come for them. I tell you football is winning with what Mo Salah is doing,’ Dr. Izamoje explained.
