Nigeria’s teenage sensation Samuel Chukwueze opened his La Liga goal account for Villarreal as they play out a 2-2 draw away to Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio de Vallecas, on Sunday.
Chukwueze who is playing his second La Liga game following his debut last week scored the first goal of the game in the 33rd to put Villarreal in front before Raul De Tomas canceled out his strike as he equalized for Rayo shortly before halftime.
The home side took the lead in the 66th minute through Alvaro Garcia, but Nicola Sansone snatched a point for the visitors with ten minute left from the regulation time after coming on from the bench.
The goal is the second senior goal the former Golden Eaglets star has scored for the club, following the goal he got in Copa del Rey win over Almeria back in October.
19-year-old Chukwueze is in Super Eagles squad for the all-important 2019 AFCON qualifiers against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa and the friendly match with Uganda in Asaba.
