Samuel Chukwueze’s goal sinks Kayode’s Sivasspor in Turkey

Samuel Chukwueze scored his first goal in the Europa league  this season for Villarreal as Unai Emery’s men pipped their hosts Sivasspor 1-0, sealing top spot in Group I and progress to the next round of the competition.

Chukwueze started the game for Villarreal and scored the only goal of the match in the 75th minutes.

The winger tapped in from close range after Jaume Costa’s low cross from the edge met him unmarked.

He was later substituted from the game immediately after his goal as Villarreal held on for the maximum points.

Villarreal have already qualified for the next round, but the win took their tally to 13 with one game left to play.

Meanwhile Sivasspor did not parade their top scorer, Olanrewaju Kayode for the game.

Olanrewaju, who has scored four goals in four watched from home, but no reason was given for his omission from the game.

The Turkish outfit are third on six points and a win against Maccabi Tel Aviv in their last group game will see them finish as group runner-up and qualify into the next round.
