Former Super Eagles defender, Godwin Okpara has urged the coach not to take his final players based on loyalty but on form and fitness as the German is expected to unveil his final squad on Friday.
Okpara in an exclusive chat with brila.net on Phone said that the competition is not one where coaches will gamble and is begging Genort Rhor to pick his final players as the team is set to be unveiled today.
“Personally I feel players that will make the final cut should be players that are hundred percent fit and ready for the Afcon 2019.
The former player reiterated the fact that Afcon is not the competition where the coaches will gamble on players to execute games.
Super Eagles team will be competing in group B alongside Madagascar, Guinea, and Burundi for the proper showdown in Egypt starting from the 21st of June to the month of July.
