Semi Ajayi played a lead role as struggling West Bromwich Albion secured a point against Manchester City on Tuesday.
Ajayi and his teammates went into the Tuesday’s premier league fixtures on the back of their disappointing 2 – 1 to Newcastle United last weekend.
The Baggies found themselves behind again after 30 minutes as City took the lead through to Ilkay Gundogan’s clinical strike.
Two minutes before the break, Slaven Bilic’s side hit back and it was Ajayi’s strike that deflected in off Ruben Dias.
City failed to clear a free-kick and the Baggies recycled play as Ajayi out muscled Nathan Ake and got a shot away that took a wicked deflection off Dias and past Ederson.
City piled the pressure in the second half, but the Nigerian and his teammates held on for a priceless point at Etihad.
West Bromwich Albion however remain in relegation zone with just seven points from 13 matches.
