Tennis Superstar, Serena Williams, 37, ahead of her return to tennis action at the Italian Open, since withdrawing from her third-round match at the Miami Open in March with a previously undisclosed left knee injury, decided to blow off steam at the 2019 Met Gala.
The former tennis Number 1, looked incredible in high fashion gown with flowing train and matching boots, as she revealed a matching leotard as she perfectly embodied the Ball’s ‘camp’ theme. The Met Gala always proves to be one of most star-studded events in the New York Fashion calendar.
Serena acted as chair for the lavish occasion alongside Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Gucci designer, Alessandro Michele, Vogue editor, Anna Wintour. She arrived for the lavish gala with husband Alexis Ohanian who looked dapper in a simple black and white tuxedo.
Her neon gown featured pink and yellow butterflies and leaves intricately stitched on the bodice, and cinched at the waist before flaring into a large skirt.
It was Serena’s choice of footwear that turned heads at the bash, as she wore a pair of neon yellow Nike trainers that perfectly complimented the dress.
The 4-time Italian Open champion has not played since March and is yet to win a trophy in 2019, The Italian open is scheduled for May 13-19.
