Bursaspor of Turkey new arrival, Shehu Abdulahi says he is happy with the deal that takes him away from Anorthosis Famagusta of Cyprus, and hopes it will mark the beginning of greater things for his career.
Speaking after his official unveiling by the Turkish Super Lig outfit, Shehu said it is another step forward in his career, especially with few months heading into the World Cup, where he wants to be part of the Super Eagles’ squad.
The 25 year old, who signed a two and half year deal for an undisclosed fee, made 19 league appearances for Anorthosis, who are second with 44 points from 21 games before he left.
Abdulahi, who bid farewell to Famagusta in last Saturday’s 3-1 win over Ethnikos Achnas, was quite emotional, as he posted a picture of himself with a short note announcing his arrival in Bursaspor.
He stated emphatically that he is happy to join Bursaspor, where he links forces with fellow-Eagles stars, William Troost-Ekong and Mikel Agu.
“It’s OFFICIAL! I’m glad to be here @bursaspor 🐊,” Abdullahi wrote.
