The match witnessed an outstanding performance from Christian Pyagbara, who netted both goals for Shooting Stars, securing a crucial triumph for the home team.
Despite the presence of former Shooting Stars players Sikiru Alimi and Charles Tambe in Remo Stars’ line-up, the visitors struggled to assert themselves in the game.
Meanwhile, in another gripping encounter, Rangers FC climbed to second position in the league standings after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over league leaders Lobi Stars.
Rangers’ Godwin Obaje opened the scoring eight minutes before halftime, followed by Kingsley Maduforo’s goal three minutes into the second half.
Although Samuel Tiza managed to pull one back for Lobi Stars in the 65th minute, it wasn’t enough to salvage a result for the league leaders.
