Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan have announced and unveiled Sunday Faleye, Niyi Adekunle and Akleche Sunday.
The Oluyole Warriors acquired the servnew players, in order to beef up their squad for the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League Season.
While Sunday Faleye arrived on loan from Czech Republic side Dukla Prague, the duo of Niyi Adekunle and Akleche Sunday joined from Katsina United.
The players were unveiled at the at the Oyo State Governor office on Thursday, February 3rd 2022.
Meanwhile, ex international Dimeji Lawal has been appointed as the acting General Manager of of the Club.
Lawal was on Thursday, appointed by the governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde to take over as the General Manager of the Oluyole Warriors, following the demise of the former GM, Rasheed Balogun.
In an interview with journalists, moments after the pronouncement by the governor, the former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles players, who expressed surprise at his appintment, promised to deliver.
“We thank God, because this same responsibility I was offered eight years ago, which I rejected because I felt I was not prepared for such job then.
“May the soul of my boss (Rasheed Balogun) rest in perfect peace. I served him wholeheartedly, I gave him my all and I learn a lot along the line and now that our amiable governor felt I should take the responsibility, I think, I am more than prepared for it.
Lawal, one of the few players with the rear privilege of featuring for all the three main national teams in the country (the U-17, U-20 and the Super Eagles).
