Parents of Super Eagles’ poster boy Alex Iwobi have arrived in Volgograd earlier today ahead of their son’s World Cup second appearance against Iceland on Friday.
ALEX’s father, Chuka, his mother, Amaka, and his sister, Marie, came into the city via an Aeroflot flight from Moscow, according to Twitter User with the handle @Jololade.
I spotted Alex Iwobi’s parents and sister at the #Volgograd airport last night. It has definitely been an interesting summer for this family. #NGA #WorldCup pic.twitter.com/emjC1LTkZv

They will be cheering for Alex in a game that the Super Eagles need at least a draw in order to keep alive their World Cup hopes.
Nigeria lost 2-0 against Croatia in their opening game in Kaliningrad last Saturday with many fans criticising coach Gernot Rohr for deploying Alex in a more defensive role.
