Former Super Eagles Coach Samson Siasia has criticized football authorities in Nigeria for blackballing midfielder Azubuike Okechukwu.
Azubuike last played for Nigeria in 2016; his only cap for the Super Eagles.
Despite his starring performances during Nigeria’s triumph at the U23 Afcon and Olympic Games where the team won Bronze, the 20-year-old has not found favour with current Super Eagles boss, Gernot Rohr.
According to Siasia, the only reason the Yeni Malatyaspor talisman is not getting a look in from national team selectors is because of the player’s affiliation with him.
The very opinionated Siasia has been vocal about the FA and criticizes the body in past over unpaid salaries and poor welfare.
