Simon Moses had the last laugh as Nantes edges Moffi’s Lorient

Terem Moffi was on parade as his Club Lorient hosted Simon Moses’ FC Nantes at the Stade Yves Allainmat – Le Moustoir on Sunday.

 


Prior to the game, Moffi has contributed 2 goals and 3 assists in 15 matches for Lorient, while Simon came into the game with 2 goals and 6 assists in the same number of games for Nantes.

 

Moffi led the attack for Lorient, while  Simon was deployed to his favorite position on the right side of Nantes’ attack.

 

The two Super Eagles stars gave good account of themselves in the game but failed to increase their tally for their respective Club.

 

Simon was replaced by Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari with seven minutes left to play, while Moffi was withdrawn a minute later.

 

Simon Moses, however, had the last laugh at the end of the game as the game Nantes walked away with the maximum three points.

 

Second-half substitute Wylan Cyprien netted the only goal of the game for Nantes in the 83rd minute of play.

 

The victory increased Nantes’ point tally to 22 and they moved to 13th position, while Lorient remain 16th on the league standing. Both teams have played 17 matches.
