Simon Moses ready for French Super Cup clash with PSG

Super Eagles forward Simon Moses is ready for the Trophee des Champions against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

Simon suffered a thigh injury during pre-season, but the winger is back in training and is likely to play some part in the game.

The Nigerian scored the winning penalty as Nantes lifted the French Cup last season.

Simon and his teammates will be aiming for another silverware to their Trophy cabinet, when they take on the Ligue 1 champions in the season’s curtain raiser.

Trophée des Champions is slated for this Sunday at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv and Nantes coach Antoine Kombouare is looking forward to a good outing.

“The goal is to be ready for this match,” he added.

“We want to play a big game even if we expect, with the arrival of Galtier, a group of players who will want to show their best to the new coach.

“It’ll be difficult but we’re preparing, like last season, to pull off an upset.”

“The Trophée des Champions has been in people’s minds since the restart,” Kombouare told Ligue1.com.

Nantes won two of their last three meeting against PSG last season.
