Super Eagles forward Simeon Nwankwo says he doesn’t have to change his style of play to get more minutes in the national team.
Simeon caught the eyes of Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr for the qualities he brings as a massive player with the ability to hold up play and strength to win aerial balls.
The Italy based hit-man is understudy to Odion Ighalo, but argues that the strength and diverse qualities of the frontmen available to Rohr makes the Super Eagles unpredictable.
“As the Coach he has to make decisions of who plays, who doesn’t and how we play, so we as players just have to respect the choices of the Coach and keep working hard and function for the team.
“I think it is a good thing that the Super Eagles has the options of playing in different ways. You can say we can be unpredictable to the opponent and it is a good thing,” Simeon told Brila.net
“We just have to play to our strength; that’s one good thing about the team, every player has his own strength, you try to play to your strength when needed; when called upon you just give that, you don’t have to change your game or adapt to something else.
“You are you and that’s why you’re here, so why do you have to change for anything. I just have to keep working and do what I’m doing in the same way and whenever I’m giving the chance,I will take it and do the best I can.”
