Venus Williams has been spotted wearing a ‘slay all day’ shirt just a few weeks after she was involved in a car crash that left one dead and another permanently disfigured.
The tennis legend, who is at the center of a wrongful death lawsuit stemming from the fatal car crash in Florida on June 9, was seen arriving at the airport in Washington DC on Wednesday.
She teamed the ‘slay all day’ sleeveless shirt, with gray yoga pants and oversized sunglasses as she wheeled her carry on luggage to her car.
Lawyers for the family of Jerome Barson, 78, who was killed in the crash, and his wife Linda, who suffered ‘disfiguring injuries’, have filed a wrongful death over the collision last month.
Attorney Michael Steinger claims the tennis champion ‘gunned it’ across the intersection, ignoring the red light.
He said data obtained from the tennis star’s SUV shows she accelerated from 0 to 20mph in just four seconds right before the crash in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on June 9.
Instead, Williams is blaming the extent of the passengers’ injuries on their own negligence for one of them not wearing a seat belt, court papers state.
Police now say that surveillance video showed that the Grand Slam champion ‘lawfully’ entered the intersection before the crash.
