Yira Sor says he’s motivated to play for Genk after bagging a goal in his full debut for the Club.

Sor signed for the Limburgers from Slavia Prague earlier this month and featured twice as a substitute.

He got his the chance to start his first game for the club against Zulte Waregem due to suspension of John Paintsil.

“It was a great opportunity to show myself. I was extremely motivated and scoring a goal like this is only good for confidence,” he said after the game.

He however showed Genk’s fans glimpse of what he is capable of doing by grabbing the only goal of the game.

The winger beat two defenders before unleashing a powerful shot with his weaker left foot and the ball went straight into the top corner.

“I know that I can make an action 1 against 1. But it is one of the most beautiful goals I have scored with my left foot.

“But now the opponent and the fans will probably look at me more immediately. It’s up to me to get better because I want to win the competition with Racing Genk,” the 22-year-old concluded.
