FC Lorient have rejected Southampton’s bid for Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi.
According to Sky Sports, the Southampton tabled a bid in the region of £15m for Terem Moffi but the French side rejected it, because they believe the striker is worth more.
It is understood that Lorient want a fee around £20 for the 23 year-old forward who has eighteen months left on his contract.
Moffi has impressed in the French top flight this season, scoring 10 goals in 15 appearances.
Saint’s manager, Nathan Jones is an admirer of the striker and should Lorient refuse to lower their asking price, Southampton will gladly look elsewhere.
Celtic forward, Daizen Maeda has been touted as an alternative to the Nigerian striker.
Maeda has three goals in as many games for Celtic since returning from the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
