Napoli coach Luciano Spalleti is furious with Victor Osimhen and other attackers, despite their 2-0 win over Bologna on Monday.
Victor Osimhen was introduced as a substitute in the second half, returning to action wearing a protective mask less than two months after suffering a cheekbone injury.
He replaced Mexican forward Irving Lozano who scored both goals, before leaving the pitch.
Osimhen had a golden opportunity to score the third shortly after coming on, but he fired just wide from close range and the miss allowed the visitors to pile pressure on Napoli.
However, the Partenopei managed to see out the victory, but Spalleti was unimpressed with how they squandered chances to kill the game earlier.
“We have thrown too many points away this season. We must reach a top-four finish. We have the quality and the team to do that, like all the other seven clubs.
“Sometimes we lose our quality, we should have made the most of all the space they left for us in the final minutes of the game. We didn’t and we suffered their pressing at the end of the match.” He said regarding the chances missed by his forward players.
The Partenopei will return to action on Sunday, hosting Salernitana at the Stadio Maradona.
