Super Eagles midfielder Ramon Azeez has been hailed for helping Granada to another victory in the Spanish Premiere la Liga on Friday.
The pin-sized midfielder came on as a second-half replacement for experience striker Roberto Soldado in with Granada already leading 1-0.
Azeez who played for Nigeria in their last Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Brazil in helped Granada protect their slim advantage over Osasuna who were later reduced to ten men.
Speaking to La Liga TV in the post-match analysis, journalist Tim Lee hailed Azeez’s impact in the game after coming on.
“The substitution made by Diego Martinez was spot on. Ramon Azeez provided energy, and stability. They pressed well denying Osasuna any chances of scoring.
“Azeez’s passes were incisive as well. He had a good game,” Lee noted.
Another pundit, Andrea Orlandi, said Azeez has been instrumental in Granada’s fine run in the 2019/2020 season.
“Azeez is having a good season at Granada. I mean Soldado was upset leaving the pitch but what Azeez offered the team tonight was there for all to see,” the analyst stressed.
Azeez has scored twice in the league for Granada this season, the modest Club are just a point behind league leaders Real Madrid and a point above third-placed Barcelona.
