CD Leganes are not planning to keep Center back Kenneth Omeruo for 2023/2024 campaign.

According to Spanish news outlet Diario AS, Leganes will be happy to allow Omeruo to leave if they can get a buyer in the current window.

The report suggests that the 29 year-old’s performance in just concluded campaign were sub par, sighting constant injuries as one of the reasons.

Leganes will also embark on an overhaul of the squad to keep their wage bill within the green and push for promotion to LaLiga next season with a squad upgrade.

Meanwhile, Omeruo has a year left on his current deal, which will not be renewed; he signed for the Club in 2018 after seven years at Chelsea without making a single senior appearance for the Premier League club.

In his five seasons at the Club, the Nigerian has made 84 appearances for Leganes and scored 3 goals.
