Nigeria’s U-20 Women’s football team are about to enjoy an exciting windfall, if, they manage to upset China in their final group D game of the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, on Monday.
With Germany already guaranteed a place in the next round, it means Nigeria and China are locked in the battle for second place and Christopher Danjuma’s girls are being tempted with a massive financial motivation.
Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung has promised to reward the Ladies with teh sum of $10,000 if they get a win against China, per Per Pius Idoko [Brila FM].
Dalung visited the team in France after the win against Haiti, which saw Nigeria climb to second in the group on superiors goal difference.
The Nigeria Minister assured the team that their bonuses and allowances will be paid “with immediate effect.”
Nigeria face China on Monday at the Stade du Clos Gastel in Dinan-Léhon.
