When John Terry left Chelsea – or Chelsea let him go – the player knew exactly what he wanted , but if it wasn’t football the 36-year-old would slide into music without any hassles.
The five-time Premier League winner opted for Championship side Aston Villa and is quickly settling in as the video on Wednesday seems to prove.
As is the tradition with football teams, Terry was required to pass through the initiation rites at his new club…and boy did he blow everybody away.
Terry’s choice of Benny E. King’s hit track “Stand by me” was an obvious choice – considering where his career is headed.

Like the encore in his final game at the Bridge, the ovation after his singing, filled the room.
