A season after dumping MFM FC for Swiss side FC Zurich, one-time NPFL top scorer Stephen Odey celebrated his first silverware with Der Stadtclub following a 2-1 win against Young Boys in the Swiss cup final.
Zurich picked up their 10th cup win on Sunday at the Stade de Suisse with goals from Michael Frey and Antonio Marchesano.
The young Nigerian forward was an unused sub on Sunday, but had played every game from Round three – since joining the club.
As a result of the victory FC Zurich, who finished fourth in the Super league, have earned a place in next season’s Europa League.
