Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was full of praises for Nigeria international Joe Aribo following his goal for the club against Hibernian.
Aribo scored the opening goal for the Gers as they laboured to a 2-1 win over their visitors in Sunday’s Scottish premier league match at the Ibrox on Sunday.
Speaking after the game, Gerrard praised the quality of the goal, even as he believes he couldn’t dominate after such an important goal.
“It was a good goal from Joe Aribo and then I thought the last 15 minutes of the first half, we didn’t finish the half really well at all.
“So we needed to reset that in the second half. Again, we came out strong, we finished the second half a little bit open, a little bit passive and the final moments of the game became complicated on the back of that.” He told RangersTV.
Aribo has now scored eight goals for the newly elected Scottish Champions who opened twenty points gap on the table ahead of d firm rivals Celtic.
