Steven Gerrard happy with the progress of Aribo and others

Steven Gerrard says he’s happy with the progress made by Joe Aribo, Leon Balogun and the rest of the team this season, following their excellent campaign.

Aribo and Balogun are integral part of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers squad who have broken many records in the Scottish Premier League this season.

After failing to poise real challenge last term , The Gers took the current campaign by storm, winning 30 of the 36 league matches, with no defeat and garnered amazing 96 points.

Speaking with Rangers TV on the campaign so far, Gerrard said he’s extremely happy with the progress of the squad.

“I am extremely happy. In year one and year two, when you are trying to build a team, our consistency was questioned at times and rightly so as we all realise who we are representing, and at Rangers, drawing and losing games and having bumps in the road, its not acceptable.

“So we have been striving to become more consistent, especially here at home. We want to make it a fortress, we want to make it a difficult place to come and credit to the boys on that front, they have carried it out extremely well.

“There are two more challenges left to go, and I want another six points – I want to keep them hungry and I want to keep them on their toes.

“But what I will say, is 96 points is a special number for me.” He said.

Meanwhile Joe Aribo was in action as Rangers trashed rivals Celtic 4-1 at the Ibrox on Sunday, but his compatriot Leon Balogun missed the clash due to injury.
