National team striker Sunusi Ibrahim has stated that players of the U23 national team who featured for the home based Eagles as well hope to remedy CHAN failure with a strong outing at next month’s U23 AFCON in Egypt.
Ibrahim said in a chat with brila.net that the players have all shifted attention to the tournament in Egypt which also serve as qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics stressing that the camp is alive already to ensure that they get to do well.
“We are in the camp, there is no time to waste because we have another tournament coming up next month so we need to train so that we will understand ourselves because we are going to see some new faces now that it is U23 so that we can be able to do things together.
The message I have is what happen with the home based Eagles will not happen again and that we will put in our best to do well to win the U23 nations cup in Egypt.”
