Black Stars Coach Otto Addo has rejected the underdog tag given to his side by the media ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualification second leg playoff with Nigeria.
The Black Stars were tagged as the underdogs in the second leg of the West African derby after failing to beat the Super Eagles when they clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday.
The Super Eagles will host the second leg at home and 60,000 fans are expected to be at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja to cheer them on .
Speaking ahead of the game, Otto believes the tie remain balanced and rejected the claims that, the Super Eagles are the favorites to go through.
“The result doesn’t change anything. When we go there we want to win,” Addo was quoted on ghanasoccernet.
“Even though our Africa Cup of Nations was not good this year, you saw we matched Nigeria in the first leg so I don’t see them as favourites, the pressure will be on them at home and away goals can hurt a lot.”
Meanwhile, the Black Stars are expected to hit Abuja this Monday ahead of the game.
