Super Eagles defender Omeruo reveals career high points

Super Eagles and CD Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo has revealed the key points of his amazing football career so far having started from NPFL side Sunshine Stars of Akure.

In an interview with Footballlive, Omeruo said it is indeed a great feeling to have participated in all three categories of the FIFA world cup for Nigeria.

I played at the FIFA U17 world cup in Nigeria 2009 when we got to the final, two years later, I played in the FIFA U20 World Cup in Colombia under the tutelage of coach John Obuh where we got to the quarterfinals.

In 2014, I played in the Senior World Cup in Brazil where the Super Eagles got to the second round and were defeated by France and I was also privileged to have gone to another World Cup last year in Russia 2018 but unfortunately, we couldn’t scale through the group hurdle.

I am privileged to have attended the U-17 World Cup, U-20 World Cup, and two senior World Cups. I am quite fulfilled as a footballer and I thank God for that.
Omeruo joined Chelsea in January 2012. He is currently on Loan at Spanish La Liga side CD Leganes.
