Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi scored his fourth league goal of the season for Lorient in their embarrassing defeat to Lyon at home on Friday.
The 22-year-old scored in the second half to make as Lorient suffered a 1-4 defeat in the hands of their visitors.
Romain Favre and Moussa Dembele gave Lyon a perfect start to the game — when they scored in the 6th and 20th minute respectively.
However, Moffi made it 1-2 to his side in the 57th minute. It was his first goal since January 23rd and second goal in the last 10 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Lyon killed off hope of come back as they restored their two goals lead two minutes later, through Karl Toko Ekanbi. The Cameroonian finished off a pass from Moussa Dembele.
Romain Favre put the final nail to the cofin on Lorient with his second of the game and fourth for Lyon in the 78th minute.
Lyon moved into sixth as they look to maintain a late challenge for a Champions League spot in Ligue 1 at the end of the season, Lorient remain 16th, two points above the relegation places.
