Super Eagles moves up four places on the latest FIFA ranking

Nigeria’s Super Eagles moved up four places in the latest FIFA world ranking released on Wednesday.

 

According to the ranking published on FIFA’s official website on Thursday, the three-time African champions from 36th to 32nd position in the ranking.

 

The Gernot Rohr tutored side is also the 3rd best-ranked team on the continent of Africa as a result of the new position on the world ranking.

 

The Super Eagles are behind the Terangha Lions of Senegal and Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in Africa and both are ranked 22nd and 26 respectively by FIFA.

 

Last month, the Eagles recorded two impressive victories against Benin and Lesotho in the African cup of Nations qualifiers and this played a significant role in the new ranking.
