Kingsley Ehizibue was in imperious form for his Bundesliga club FC Koln in the league game against Borussia Monchengladbach.
Ehizibue starred yet again, playing all 90 minutes on Wednesday and was one of the best performers on the pitch.
The right back recently earned a debut call up for Nigeria and could get his first international cap against Sierra Leone in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
On Wednesday, he followed up on his performance from the win over Paderborn with a scintillating show in hi defensive abilities.
He attempted more tackles than any other player on the pitch, made 4 successful interceptions, 1 clearance, 1 Block and won 1 Aerial duel.
The defender also contributed one effort to FC Koln’s attacking stats on the day, registering a shot on target.
However, the best efforts of the player could not help his side avoid defeat.
Breel Embolo’s 32nd minute goal and an owngoal by Jorge Mere (70′) gave the hosts the lead.
FC Koln pulled one back through Mark Uth in the 81st minute, but they couldn’t find the equalizer.
According to whoscored ratings Ehizibue scored a 7.6 on Wednesday; an improvement from the 7.4 he scored against Paderborn.
