Super Eagles Players pass Verdict on Peseiro

The Super Eagles are gradually adapting to Jose Peseiro’s style and philosophy, CB Oluwasemilogo Ajayi has told Brila.net .

Peseiro was in charge of the Super Eagles in the Friendlies against Mexico’s El Tri and La Tri of Ecuador.

Both games ended in defeats for the team, but Ajayi believes Nigeria should have won gotten more from them.

He admits it’s early days, but the Players are beginning to pick up exactly what’s expected of them by the Portuguese Trainer.

“It has been really good and He has come in and he’s trying to implement his ideas on the team,” Semi admits of the work ethic of Peseiro.

“I think every session, every game that we’re playing, we’re learning more and more what he demands from us, what he wants from us and yeah so far so good.”

About the lessons learnt and if there were any positives from the Friendlies played, Ajayi responded affirmative.

“If anything I think we just showed what we are capable of,” he said.

“There has been a lot of positive to take from the game, although we didn’t get the results that we wanted. I think the biggest lesson is that we can believe in ourselves.”

“We played against two very good teams and arguably should have won maybe both of the games. So that gives us a lot of confidence to take into this qualifiers now.”
