Super Eagles Skipper lauds Okowa over $25k promise, as Governors’ gesture causes chaos in Bafana Bafana camp

Super Eagles Skipper Ahmed Musa has praised Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa for pledging an incentive of $25,000 for every goal scored in Saturday’s 2019 AFCON qualifying cracker against the Bafana Bafana in Johannesburg.

“The Super Eagles will continue to work hard to make all those who have played one role or the other in their progress happy that their investment in the team is not a waste.”Stand-in Captain, Ahmed Musa, said.

“We thank His Excellency, Governor Okowa so much for the motivation to us to do well in Johannesburg on Saturday. The former Leicester forward added

“We promise that we will return here on Sunday with the victory. We will also do all we can to give the people of Asaba and the generality of Delta State and Nigerians a very good game against Uganda next Tuesday.” He concluded.

The Governor’s gesture has caused some discomfort in the camp of the Bafana Bafana who are faced with a lot of unfit players.

Most South Africans Sports Analysts are urging the Bafana Bafana to do more in ensuring they secure a victory.

However, tickets to Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations showdown between Bafana Bafana and Nigeria at FNB Stadium have been moving at a snail’s pace, with only 7,300 seats having been sold by Tuesday afternoon.

Bafana desperately needs bums on seats in this crunch match against the old enemy and face the possibility of being dominated in the stands by Nigeria fans if the ticket sales do not pick up.
