Super Eagles stars Samuel Kalu and Simy Nwankwo upbeat ahead of Seychelles Clash

Super Eagles attacking duo of Simeon Nwankwo and Samuel Kalu have expressed their optimism ahead of weekend’s AFCON 2019 qualifier against Seychelles.

Both players had a brief chat with our reporter, Chidozie Okoroji who is live in the Camp of the Super Eagles earlier on Wednesday morning.

Kalu, who has just joined French Ligue one side Bordeaux expressed his confidence that the Eagles will be victorious no matter what the Seychellois have in their strategy.

Meanwhile, World Cup striker Simy Nwankwo is also confident of an away win for the Super Eagles due to the quality of the players in the Eagles squad.

“Comparing the quality in both teams, I think Nigeria has an upper hand” Simy told Overdoze.

Crotone forward Nwankwo, however, want that the Super Eagles must respect the Seychellois and work very hard to win the match in Victoria.

“Seychelles are not a big footballing country, but we still have to respect them and not expect an easy game from them,” Nwankwo told brila.net’s Chidozie Okoroji on Wednesday morning.

“You don’t get easy games in international football these days, so it is important for us to prepare well and give our best on match day.”
