Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has yet again been warned to avoid the temptation of making to many changes to his current team before the 2018 World Cup or even picking too many young players.
Gernot Rohr is under constant pressure to invite fresh legs to the team as Nigeria commences preparation for World Cup but, Ex Super Eagles defender Ifeanyi Udeze is sounding a note of caution.
Udeze warned that the Eagles risks ending up as a practice team at next summer’s competition if the TA picked a mainly young team without experience.
‘The world cup is not for boys but for men. I believe if the Coach takes too many young players to Russia, I fear the Super Eagles will end up as training materials.
‘What I think is that he (Rohr) can do with a few fresh legs, however, I won’t advice a overhaul,’ Udeze said on Brila FM’s Morning show, The Big Sports breakfast Show.
