Super Eagles forward Moses Simon has stated that the AFCON 2019 ticket holder will take on the Ugandan National team with a sole aim of winning the friendly encounter.
The Super Eagles and the Cranes of Uganda have both qualified for next year’s AFCON and will use this match to begin preparation for Cameroon 2019 in earnest.
“Uganda will go back home empty-handed, we must win because this is beyond a friendly match,” Moses Simon told SCORENigeria.
The CD Levante star also restated his commitment to the Eagles even after injury prevented him from the World Cup in Russia.
“I have been playing for the national team for some years now and it is a pleasure to wear the green-white-green jersey,” he said.
“It is a thing of joy that we have qualified for 2019 AFCON in Cameroon.”
He will also hope to see some minutes of action against Uganda after he did not feature in the team’s last three matches.
