Super Falcons braces up for Japan challenge

The Falcons are stepping up preparations for the upcoming international friendly game against Japanese ladies.

The team had their  first training this afternoon at the Miki Sogo Bosai Koen Stadium, Miki City in build up to the friendly with hosts Japan.

Twelve players trained under the leadership of Coach Randy Waldrum and his assistant in camp.

The friendly match will hold at the Noevir Stadium, Kobe on October 6.

Both teams have met only once at a competitive level, during the Olympic Women’s Football Tournament on August 14, 2004.

The Nadeshiko pipped the Falcons 1-0 at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus.

The game is part of preparations for the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup for both teams.
