Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum says it’s important for his side to get a good results against the Black Queens of Ghana in Lagos.
The Super Falcons will host the Black Queens on Wednesday in Lagos for the first leg of their double header for the African Women’s Championship qualifiers.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Waldrum said his team can’t afford to miss out of the tournament and must earn a good win on home ground on Wednesday.
“It is important for us to get a good win at home and then go to Accra and play like warriors. These are two battles that we must be ready for.”
“The Super Falcons just have to be at the AFCON and the World Cup and they are ready to give these two matches their all.”
A good convincing victory will put them at relative advantage in their 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Ghana’s Black Queens.
