Super Falcons Hammer Slovenian Champions, wrap up Impressive World Cup Build-up

There could be some optimism for fans of the Super Falcons ahead of the team’s FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign in France and who can deny them that, seeing the progression of the team; evident in their preparation for the competition.

In the final test game on Sunday, before the June 8 date against 1995 champions Norway – who will be without 2018 Ballon d’Or winner Ada Hegerberg – the Falcons eased to a comfortable 3-0 win over 6-time 1. SŽNL champions, ŽNK Pomurje in Beltinci.

A first half brace from in-form striker Asisat Oshoala (18′, 26′), saw Thomas Denenrby’s side take a 2-0 lead before the break.
