Super Falcons goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi has officially parted ways with Saudi Women’s Premier League side Eastern Flames, fueling ongoing speculation about her future in professional football.

The 37-year-old, who was Nigeria’s backup goalkeeper at the 2024 Paris Olympics, has been clubless since leaving Eastern Flames last year.

Oluehi last played for the club on April 19, logging just 26 minutes in a 5-0 loss to Al Hilal.

She was subsequently benched for their next game before joining the Super Falcons’ Olympic preparations.

Despite being included in Nigeria’s Olympic squad, Oluehi did not see any action as the team exited at the group stage, failing to win a game against powerhouses Spain, Brazil, and Japan.

Since then, her absence from Eastern Flames’ matchday squads has sparked rumors of retirement.

“She is no longer with Eastern Flames and is currently spending time with her family,” her agent told All Nigeria Soccer, confirming her free-agent status.

The agent declined to comment on Oluehi’s next move, leaving uncertainty about whether she will return to club football.

Oluehi’s international career includes being the hero of Nigeria’s 2018 WAFCON triumph and representing the country at four World Cups and two Olympics.
