Super Falcons assistant coach Maureen Madu has stated that the Nigerian ladies will give their all to ensure they beat host nation Cote d’ivoire ahead of today’s final at the ongoing WAFU women’s cup of nations.
Madu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said Falcons will not feel too cocky but accord a level of respect to their final opponent who won against Mali that finished just behind Nigeria in the group stage.
She added that the final won’t be a mere formality but that the Falcons will be ready for any kind of challenge from the Ivorians.
“This final is not going to be a formality sake because if the Ivorians are not good, they won’t qualify from the semi final.
We watched their game against Mali, Cote d’ivoire is a good team, we have respect for them but when we go to the final, we will do our best to make sure we win the cup.”
