Talented Eaglets players needs more input

Former assistant coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Nduka Ugbade has hailed the individual talent of players of the National U17 team despite losing the final of the ongoing WAFU U17 tournament 3-2 to their Ivorian counterpart on Monday night.

Ugbade speaking in a chat with brila.net also hailed the effort of the team in Monday’s final to have been able to make the scoreline respectable at a point where it looked like the game was heading for a total embarrassment after going 3-0 down only to fall a goal short of what would have been a comeback just at the tail end of the game.
He also added that qualifying for the AFCON U17 finals in Morocco means they have achieved something.
“From 3-0 to 3-2, wonderful performance. It’s not a bad outing actually, it was very possible for us to see that Nigeria is not lacking in talents but in modern Football talent is no longer enough. But having said this the team has tried a lot been able to achieve something at this level, qualifying for Morocco and at the end of the day getting to the finals of WAFU Zone B. I think we have achieved a lot.”
