Lobi Stars defensive midfielder, Tamara Ezekiel says the referee costs his side the maximum points in their league clash with Kwara United on Sunday.

The Ilorin township witnessed no goal celebration as the game ended without a goal, but Lobi Stars’ Ezekiel believes they were hard done by the referee’s decision to disallow a legitimate goal scored by Sikiru Alimi.

“The game was ours,  but I believe the referee gave them the draw, after denying us a clean goal scored by Sikiru Alimi, he reduced us to ten men in the 56th minutes of the game.” He told www.brila.net

The fast-rising teenager, who played the entire duration of the game, however, added that his side will take solace in the point gained and continue to work harder for maximum points in subsequent matches.

“It’s a big plus and It’s a motivational step for the remaining away games,”

“We will continue to work hard because there’s a playoff ticket at stake.” He concluded.

Lobi Stars are fourth on the log of Group A with just three points behind third-place MFM FC  with 24 points.
