Nigeria’s Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named in the 2024/2025 French Women’s League Team of the Year, capping off another exceptional season with Paris FC.
This is the second consecutive year the Super Falcons goalkeeper has received the honour, a testament to her consistency and elite performance in the D1 Arkema.
The 23-year-old stood out with 10 clean sheets, playing a key role in Paris FC’s strong campaign and helping the club maintain a top-three finish.
Her reflexes, shot-stopping ability, and commanding presence have once again earned her widespread recognition.
In Contention for Goalkeeper of the Year
Nnadozie has also been nominated for the league’s Best Goalkeeper award, making her a finalist for the second year in a row.
Last season, she famously beat Lyon’s Christiane Endler to the prestigious prize—becoming the first African goalkeeper to do so.
This year, she faces even stiffer competition. The finalists include:
Christiane Endler (Chile, Lyon): 13 clean sheets
Mary Earps (England, PSG): 8 clean sheets
Chiamaka Nnadozie (Nigeria, Paris FC): 10 clean sheets
While Endler leads in clean sheets, and Earps brings the pedigree of a FIFA Best award winner, Nnadozie’s all-around influence, leadership, and crucial saves in high-pressure moments have kept her firmly in contention.
Africa’s Finest Between the Sticks
Widely regarded as Africa’s best goalkeeper, Nnadozie continues to raise the bar for African players in Europe.
The winner of the 2024/25 Best Goalkeeper award is expected to be announced in May as part of the league’s end-of-season honours.
