Nigerian forward Terem Moffi is delighted to score his first-ever hat-trick in the French Ligue One.
Moffi scored thrice in FC Lorient’s 4-1 emphatic win over Samuel Kalu’s Girondins Bordeaux at the King Baudouin Stadium on Sunday.
The win is a massive boost for FC Lorient’s bid to retain their league one status as they four points gap between them and 17th placed Nantes.
On personal notes, The three goals increased Moffi’s league goal tally for the season to 14 and he becomes the first Nigerian striker to score 14 goals since Victoria Ikpeba in the 1997-1998 campaign.
He also two goals behind Victor Ikpeba and one behind Ideye Brown on the list of Nigerians with the most goals in the French top-flight division.
The forward took to the social media handle to celebrate his first hat-trick in the French top-flight and the crucial victory.
“Buzzing for the win and 3goals ” he posted on Twitter.
Moffi who has made 27 league appearances this season was earned himself a place in Ligue one team of the week.
