Former Nigeria Super Eagles player, Mutiu Adepoju has reacted to the Super Eagles 2-1 loss to Algeria in Cairo International Stadium on Sunday Night.
Adepoju told brila.net that it is very unfortunate that the Super Eagles have to come up against a very tactical Algeria side in the semifinal stage of the competition.
”It was a game of football and they tried their best, however, the Algerians were better technically and they outplayed us, they covered all the spaces tactically, ” He told brila.net.
”We were not able to break in and they got their winning goal through the last minute free kick at, it was just football.
The 1994 AFCON winner, however, backed the young Super Eagles team to come stronger in future competition.
