Ashleigh Plumptre says there is more to come from the Super Falcons, despite the team’s recent poor form.
Plumptre was on parade for the former African Champions in last week’s international friendly against Japan at the Noevir Stadium in Kobe.
The Leicester City defender returned to the squad after missing the team’s last outing against United States of America in August.
Nigeria lost 2-0 to Nadeshiko, Japan; both goals coming in the second half of the game.
Reacting to the outcome of the friendly, Plumptre expressed gratitude to be part of the team and stating that, there is more to come from the girls.
“Always grateful for another opportunity to play for this team, with these women,
“So much to come from this group after Kobe, Japan”, She posted on social media.
The friendly in Japan is part of preparations for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Australia and New Zealand.
