Former Super Eagles Midfielder, Mutiu Adepoju has defended the performance of the Eagles over the weekend saying the defeat was a good test for the team ahead of the World Cup.
Adepoju, who is a member of the NFF Technical committee stated that there is no reason to worry about the Super Eagles despite the team’s 2-1 defeat against the Three Lions of England in Saturday’s high profile world cup warm-up fixture.
In a chat with Brila.net, The former attacker said such defeat allows the team get better as it was good to see the team’s lapses very well exposed so that the coach knows what to do next with the team.
The Super Eagles will play their last friendly game against the Czech Republic in Austria on Wednesday and will begin their World Cup campaign against Croatia on 16th of June.
